Gretzky, Lemieux among bidders for Nike Bauer

Not surprising that 66 would lend his name and some cash to buy Nike Bauer, which has basically been blown away in the hockey equipment market by Reebok over the last few years. The combined names of Mario and Wayne could give it a much needed boost.

What would be interesting would be to sit at the dinner table at Mario's house and listen in as a part owner of Nike Bauer (Mario) breaks bread with Reebok's biggest hockey star/marketing vehicle (Sid) and tries to convince him to switch to Nike.
